Day 8 - Fountain

For my people have committed a double evil; they have abandoned Me, the fountain of living water, and dug cisterns for themselves, cracked cisterns that cannot hold water.
Jer. 2:13

Prayer

Lord, I confess that I’ve tried to sustain myself with good works, by thinking I was in control, and by doing things my own way. Forgive me for following my own ways. I know You are the only life-giving fountain and I am jealous of Your water. My desire is to drink daily so that I am not thirsty. Father, forgive me if I have blamed You for spiritually barren seasons. Remind me, Lord, to stop and be filled again and again, constantly renewing myself with Your truth.
