Children's Ministry @ The Mill

Moving to Stratford just weeks after getting hitched has been quite an adventure filled with uncertainty, change, and excitement for James and I. We want to say an enormous THANK YOU to the church family at The Mill for encouraging and celebrating with us!
Despite a summer filled with transition in KidsZones, the children accepted James and I with open arms. I could not be more blessed with such wonderful kids to work with. Your children are attentive and ready to dig deeper and discover more of God each Sunday.

After spending weeks in RockZone exploring how the animals God created teach us about Him, we dove into what it means to have God as our Heavenly Father. In the year ahead we plan to join the Konnect Crew on the Konnect Space Station to uncover God as we study curriculum about worship, grace, courage, emotions and discipleship.
In PebbleZone, the greatest stories of the Bible are being shared so our little ones know who Jesus was and what He did.

Fall Family Fest, which took place at the end of October at Klemme Reserve, was a great time of food and fun with s’mores, relay races, and pumpkins. The changing colors everywhere taught us that no matter what change the seasons bring to life, God never changes.

The Kid’s Christmas Program was a great success! Readers, dancers, and actors in costume told the Christmas story beautifully. The PebbleZone kids were more than adorable as they sang Away in a Manger with giant stars on their heads. We had a wonderful time celebrating the holiday together as one family in Christ—Edgar and Stratford, children and adults!

I want to send off some “fireworks” for our volunteers!! Thank you to each person who’s sacrificed to serve in KidsZones. Our children’s ministry would not be possible without you. Please know your time and energy does make a difference!

I’m thrilled as I look forward to 2016! Our kid’s ministry at The Mill has adventure ahead!  Exciting curriculum, renewed vision, a plan of action for volunteers, family events, summer camp, an exploration of missions, and a children’s leadership program are all in the works. I pray every mountaintop and valley our kids encounter on their journey with Christ will teach them how being broken down by God into the finest components can make them into someone new and beautiful.

Yours Truly,

Stephany McBride
