1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Matthew 18.1-5 NIV
Jesus told us to be like children to enter His Kingdom. Parents will tell you of how wonderful it is to have a child run to their arms. Consider a young child. The child doesn't know how much work it takes to provide food on the table. The child doesn't know how much money it costs to pay for a house or apartment. All the child knows is that Mom and Dad provide all they need.
The authors of Forever Reign have woven together a simple melody calling us to reflect on the attributes of God, compelling us to take a sincere and child-like posture towards our Heavenly Father.
CONSIDER THE CHORUS OF THIS SONG:
I'm running to Your arms; I'm running to Your arms; The riches of Your love will always be enough; Nothing compares to Your embrace; Light of the world forever reign.
Forever Reign, By Hillsong United
We as Christians are challenged to know that God our Father is all we need and provides all we need. Consider this as you listen through and meditate on God through this song.
