Important Schedule Changes

Church family,

Mill Church leadership has collectively and unanimously decided to cancel all church-related activities the weeks of Sundays, March 15 & 22, including Sunday morning services (worship opportunities will be provided online), youth group, & Life Groups, in both locations, due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

While overreactions are common, this virus warrants considerable & inconvenient action. Since a person infected by the virus can remain asymptomatic for 2-14 days, and yet in that time be transmitting the virus to others, the number of people that can become infected is significant. It has been estimated that an individual infects, on average, 2.3 other persons. Cases have grown in number and will likely continue to for some time, which is why experts have canceled so many events & gatherings.

Frankly, it is responsible to play our part in reducing exposure. This will slow transmission and give our local healthcare professionals, whose supplies and staffing are limited, the best opportunity to treat as many as possible.

Our decision is not rooted in paranoia. Christ is greater. Our decision is based on valuing the health and well-being of our fellow community members.

For both Sundays, March 15 & 22, I (& perhaps Pastor Josh, in Edgar) will be sharing Mill Church worship opportunities via email & social media. Jocelyn will be sharing opportunities to engage kids as well. I hope you and your family will join us online!

Sincerely,

Pastor Zach
