Raised to Life: A March to Victory

The Scripture

2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

Hebrews 12.2-4

A great reversal. Creator God, the One True Deity humbled himself. A casual observer might render this the most capital of losses. Yet the end of the story reveals it as the only way to victory, and Christ the only One capable of such greatness.

The author of Hebrews calls us to remember His greatness and His strength to give us hope. Hope based in truth is the only kind that delivers. For this reason theologians often refer to this as our Blessed Hope.

The Music

Raised to Life marches us to continually declare Christ as the Victor regardless of circumstance that so often seeks our soul. Its verses spout truths of His healing power, grace, and ultimate victory.

Consider the repetitious movement of the bridge:

Sin was strong, but Jesus is stronger; our shame was great, but Jesus You're greater

Raised to Life by Elevation Worship

This march joins the ranks of the common man in the trenches and leads the embattled through enemy lines to the truth: that regardless of whatever has come or will come, Christ has already won the battle. Shame, death, and lies are all buried where He no longer sleeps.

The Challenge

We are challenged to continue in the faith, to remember and believe the truth that Christ is the Eternal Victor of our souls. Consider this as you quiet your heart and meditate on God through the listening of this song.
