He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Prayer

Lord God, You knew when You created this world that I would sin and would need Your grace. You showed me grace by sending Christ to die for my sins. Your grace is unmerited favor, given to me because you love me. If I earn it, it isn’t grace. You have a purpose and holy calling for me, but I need your power and grace to accomplish it. Help me to obey Your will, not my selfish desires. Lois & Eunice raised Timothy, who loved Jesus and assisted Paul. Likewise, may we parents teach our children to love and serve You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
